Kelli Devitte, the wife of co-owner Rick Devitte, recently joined SAV-ON’s Des Moines headquarters as our life insurance specialist. And when she’s not helping clients with their life insurance policies, she can be found helping out in the record-keeping and data entry departments.
Having another Devitte around is not new. SAV-ON has always prided itself on having a family atmosphere, with many Devitte family members employed there throughout the years; Kelli is just the most recent addition to that tradition.
Trained as a Property & Casualty insurance agent, Kelli was in the insurance industry for many years before returning to SAV-ON. She enjoys working in life insurance because she can help people get the best policy, one that will provide for their loved ones when they’re gone.
“I think the insurance industry in general draws people who want to help people build security into their lives through problem-solving,” she says. “I especially like to work with clients and help them make their lives more secure. Getting them the best product for the best price is always my goal.”
Rick and Kelli have raised four children, and while the kids were young she was a stay-at-home mom. But, now that Paul, Nicole, Donny, and Ava are grown she decided it was time to return to the office.
Kelli enjoys helpinf clients gain peace of mind through affordable life insurance policies. And it seemed a good fit to return to SAV-ON Insurance to do it.
Kelli has always gravitated to helping people and knows how important family is. She has a genuine kindness for people and helping clients get the best insurance policy to protect their family should anything happen to them is rewarding to her.
“I love helping people. I think the insurance industry in general draws nice people to it since they want to help people,” she relates. “I find fulfillment in volunteering with charitable organizations, and doing things like helping out families at Christmas. It makes me feel good helping others.”
When she’s not helping clients with their insurance needs, Kelli likes to travel. She enjoys visiting different countries and learning about their cultures.
For fun and recreation, Kelli enjoys fishing, hiking, and is an avid cook who loves to cook from scratch. Live music and dancing is another favorite pastime. It doesn’t hurt that Rick is in a band, so she has the opportunity to go often. During the summer, she and Rick like to head to the beach for a day to relax.
She is happy to be back at SAV-ON making a difference by offering low-cost life insurance protection.
She likes the fact that SAV-ON has been so successful in finding people much better rates and specializes in helping high-risk drivers find affordable insurance even after they have been declined.
“I am grateful for being surrounded by people at SAV-ON who are making a positive impact on the community,” she says. “It’s creating an environment where everyone can succeed.”
